1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any part of Jonosakti, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms that may apply. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

These terms apply to all users including visitors, registered users, content creators, campaign organizers, and contributors.

2. Platform Description

Jonosakti is a community organizing and collective action platform that provides tools for:

• Democracy: Petitions, referendums, community forums, and voting mechanisms
• Economic Action: Boycotts, buy local directories, cooperatives, and mutual aid networks
• Organizing: Union formation, movements, community actions, and mobilization
• Digital Tools: Crowdfunding campaigns, data commons, and open-source resources
• Knowledge: Citizen journalism, fact-checking, education courses, and resource sharing

The platform facilitates connections between individuals and communities for collective organizing. We do not endorse specific campaigns or causes.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use.

3.3 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as necessary. Impersonation of others or providing false information may result in account termination.

4. User Content

4.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create and post on Jonosakti, including petitions, articles, campaigns, comments, and media. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content in connection with the platform.

4.2 Content Standards

You agree not to post content that:

• Is illegal, defamatory, threatening, or harassing
• Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
• Contains malware, spam, or phishing attempts
• Promotes violence, discrimination, or hate
• Contains adult or sexually explicit material
• Misrepresents your identity or affiliations
• Violates the privacy of others

4.3 Content Moderation

We reserve the right to remove or disable content that violates these terms. We use automated systems and human review to moderate content. You may appeal moderation decisions through our support channels.

5. Petitions and Campaigns

5.1 Creating Petitions

When creating a petition, you represent that your claims are truthful and that you have the right to create such a petition. You are responsible for responding to signatories and providing updates on campaign progress.

5.2 Signing Petitions

By signing a petition, you consent to having your signature counted and your name potentially shared with the petition creator. Anonymous signing options are available where offered.

5.3 Crowdfunding Campaigns

Campaign organizers are solely responsible for fulfilling their campaign promises. Jonosakti is not responsible for the success, delivery, or use of funds in any campaign. Contributors donate at their own risk.

6. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any illegal purpose or to promote illegal activities
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform or other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform's infrastructure
• Create multiple accounts to manipulate signatures, votes, or other metrics
• Use automated tools to scrape data or interact with the platform without permission
• Harass, stalk, or intimidate other users
• Collect or harvest personal information of other users
• Use the platform for commercial advertising without authorization
• Attempt to bypass our security or moderation systems

7. Intellectual Property

The Jonosakti name, logo, design, and all platform content (excluding user-generated content) are owned by Jonosakti and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use our branding without written permission.

If you believe your intellectual property has been infringed on our platform, please contact us at legal@jonosakti.org with details of the alleged infringement.

8. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JONOSAKTI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, INCLUDING DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jonosakti, its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the platform, your content, or your violation of these terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through your Settings.

Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or platform notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws.
